Meet and Greet a time to get to know candidates

The Dadeville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a meet and greet with the candidates before the upcoming municipal election.

The chamber looked at the possibility of hosting a forum, but will now be hosting the meet and greet instead.

While the forum would have allowed the public to ask questions of the candidates in front of the audience, the meet and greet will also work in introducing the candidates to the community.

We encourage community members to attend the event and get to know those running for office.

Also, we encourage citizens to come prepared with questions for the candidates.

This is a great opportunity to become educated before voting in the Aug. 23 election.

We hope all candidates in Dadeville will attend and get to know those in the community.

We applaud the Dadeville Area Chamber of Commerce for organizing and sponsoring this event, and we are sure it will be a success.
