Good luck EBHS Bears

Published Wednesday, February 24, 2010

It’s a rare occasion when a local school plays for a state championship. However, it’s nothing short of exceptional when the third smallest school in the state earns a shot at the crown.

We want to congratulate the Edward Bell High School boys basket ball team for winning the state semifinal game against Parkway Christian 59-54 Tuesday night. This victory not only extends a great season, but offers the Bears an opportunity to make history.

Today’s game against J.F. Shields will represent Edward Bell’s first appearance in the state final. Regardless of the outcome, the Bears can hold their heads high for accomplishing something no other team has done in the school’s existence.

Good luck in today’s game.

We also want to congratulate the Dadeville High School boys basketball team on making the regional tournament. We’re truly blessed to have great coaches and athletes in our area.
